Bio
Dr Toby Aho is a Senior Professorial Lecturer and the Director of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Studies and the Disability, Health, and Bodies (DHB) Certificate. Dr Aho teaches the core classes of the DHB Certificate as well as other classes focused on disability and madness, settler colonialism and racial capitalism, and gender and sexuality. They are also one of the co-founders of the Disability+ Faculty and Staff Affinity group. Dr Aho is currently working on a book manuscript entitled Queer³: Intersections of Spectrums. Dr Aho's work on madness/disability, political economy, and popular culture has been published in several anthologies as well as in Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Quarterly, Lateral, and the Journal of Literary & Cultural Disability Studies. In 2015 Aho served as the interim managing editor of the Disability Studies Quarterly and from 2015-18 as the co-chair of ASA’s Critical Disability Studies Caucus.
