Bio
Franz is a public historian and historian of technology with over twenty years of experience working with and in museums. She holds a joint appointment with the National Museum of Â鶹´«Ã½ History, Smithsonian Institution. At AU, she teaches various courses in public history including Visual and Material Culture and a class entitled The Dead Speak that explores cemeteries as historical sources.
